Any news would be of great interest. :)

The Star Wars trilogy. There can be only one.

ha ha.. very funny guys..

i think i've mentioned this in the past..

but here goes, again..

we've had a couple of leads to do the transfers,

but nothing has panned out..

in fact, i'm investigating another source right now..

as you know.. we can just keep drawing this out forever,

but until something actually happens, i don't think people

want to keep hearing that there is something in the works,

when in fact, nothing is actually happening..

yes, its frustrating for me too.  but what do you tell people,

when there's nothing going on?  i dont' want to get peoples

hopes up, unless there's a reason to..

if anything was happening, i would say it.

also, keep in mind, if something does happen, we'll have

to keep it very quiet, and not draw too much attention to

it, or the whole thing will be shut down (obviously).. i tried

making a private board a long time ago, but that didn't work

out for long.. so it's better just to keep quiet until there is

something to share..

later

Wow, a joke grenade!

It's a digest, with 17 minutes of selected footage. Puggo's already handled that.

I wish -1 had never showed up, at least then we wouldn't have gotten our hopes up trusting that bizarre flake...

Ken Films did a second release after the success of the original 200ft release, which they also put out in scope, so probably it's that.

Weird, that auction doesn't come up on a worldwide search for me. Ebay is so damn frustrating at times.

This may be a stupid idea and has been suggested before but I just what to jet it out.

I have heard it said that projecting film and recoding it with a video camera will give bad results. So I looked up transferring film to video and found this.

Vintage Telecine Multiplexer

Basically its projecting film and recoding it with a video camera.

But it looks as if it can work if dun the right way.

I have also herd that you can get a flickering buy doing it this this way.

But if you had a video camera that shot at 24 frames a secant.

Like the Sony CineAlta HDCAM. Like what Episode 2 was shot on?

Could that not be synchronized with and projector?

And would it not be ironic to have the best bootleg

of the movies that G.L. would like to destroy, be made possible, buy the camera that he had Sony create for him?

Very interesting process... I'd imagine getting a nice camera like that is almost as expensive as the telecine process, though.

Well getting a Sony CineAlta HDCAM would be the hard part.

Perhaps a Canon VIXIA HV40 High Definition Camcorder with Native 24p Mode would do it?

that’s only $999.99

As apposed to $80,019.95 for the Sony

Although a

Sony HDW-F900R CineAlta HDCam Camera
BASIC PACKAGE can be rented for

$ 1150 /a Day

If I read it right

http://chatercamera.com/rental_sonyf900_cinealta.htm

Any way it would seem to me that it would be safer to get a good

Camera and do the 35mm transfer in a print owners basement,

then it would be to try bribing a film transfer company, as they could sell you out to Lucas film.

Any way another idea regarding the super 8 Derann print.

Tobin Telecine

It Is not HD and the sound would have to be dun separately.

But an Anamorphic DVD may be possible.

The thing I don't get is why no prints of the 97SE ever turn up. They made a bunch up for the re-release and you'd think some would be floating around.

It's possible they were extra vigilant about tracking those prints in 1997, and making sure they were all returned. (Or proven destroyed if too worn out.) There were cases of Jedi prints being stolen from projection booths back in '83!

I could have sworn I've seen at least one SE print pop up on Ebay in the past five years. Might have been a single reel though.  The DTS soundtrack CD's do show up once in a while, but they're only good for coasters unless you have the print and your own movie theater. ;)

Curiously enough, single reels of ROTS seem to pop up every month or so. They all have been from the end of the movie, and somebody usually bids on them. Where the heck are those coming from?

A Return of the Jedi 16mm scope print popped up a few days ago on eBay and was sold. The colors looked pretty good. The listing is right here. None of you are the winner Celluloid 16, right?

Oh shoot! You're absolutely right, SilverWook. I must have misread the listing earlier. However, it looks like the relisted item just got sold. You wouldn't happen to be the one to buy it though, right?

Not me.

However, there is another out there in friendly hands. Can't say more than that.

Big Spacing= star wars crawl look. In other words, spacing makes it more epic.

(I didn't make this).
