My favorite movie is the 2002 version of "The Time Machine." I went to see it in the theater like 3 times back when it came out. I still like to watch it a lot, especially with my friends. 2 of them are Philosophy majors, and we all love picking apart the subtleties of the movie. Makes for great times :)

But even aside from the social aspect, the movie itself is fantastic. Great story, great visual effects, FANTASTIC music. Oddly enough, "The Time Machine" is also my favorite book. But the book and the movie are so completely different in almost every way, that I appreciate each of them for their own unique stories.
