THIS HAND OF MINE GLOWS WITH AN AWESOME POWER! ITS BURNING GRIP TELLS ME TO DEFEAT YOU. SHIIIINIIIING... FIIINNGEEEERRRR!!!
Yeah, I still love G Gundam. It took a serious series and turned it upside down into what some consider a mockery of marial arts complete with giant robots.

I stopped watching anime after Voltron. It always seemed like a poor man's Battle of the Planets.
And neither of them were as cool as Star Blazers.

Not entirely, I hope! :p
No, I'm pretty sure I haven't watched any...
Wait, I've got a bunch of Miyazaki DVD's. Do those count?
^Yes, very much so.
Anime is good for memories of being a kid for me and not much else, I despise the generic comedies/action titles I didn't grow up with. Sometimes I even loathe the ones I did... ANYWAY, the point is Miyazaki goes beyond genre so not really.

"Beyond genre"? It's still anime. :p
Yeah, but "anime" isn't a genre anymore than "live action" is a genre...

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I used to love Anime, but anymore Cowboy Bebop is the only one I still really like. I actually like it better as an adult than I did as a kid.
Now as far as Miyazaki, Castle In The Sky was really awesome. I think Mark Hamill was in it, if I remember correctly. It's been years since I saw it.
Outside of Miyazaki I really liked Otomo's Akira. I am pissed that a Live Action Akira is in the works. I being a huge Steampunk fan was disappointed with his approach in Steamboy.
"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Indeed, Mark Hamill was in the dub of Castle in the Sky.
How could I forget Bebop? This is one of those shows that I would consider to go beyond the anime spectrum: it borrows so much from various different cultures and movie genres that it becomes universal. I'm happy there's a live-action adaptation in the works still, so long as they don't screw it up.

Like I've said before, Keanu Reeves will either be a great choice or a horrible choice. If he plays it cool it will be just fine. If he does his Neo/Constantine/Klattu way, it will suck.

A good friend of mine named her son Eaon. Will the poor guy be doomed forever?

My only regret . . . is that I have . . . bone-itis.
*dies*
Akira is the only anime I've watched in the last 10 years. It's also the only one I own.
So do you think it's a hardware or a software problem Gaffer Tape (have you tried using a second machine to scan it for nasty infections and the like)?
Still recovering from food poisoning. Don't know why I type it out here though. Not like any of you really gives a damn...
I'm in a lot of pain.
