Well, sorry guys, but I still haven't been able to find those '90s VHS-style covers.

Did anyone else happen to save them, perchance?

Did Polygon ever release full-resolution copies of his OT-style prequel covers? I particularly liked those....

No worries, and I really appreciate you taking the time to scour through your archives trying to find them. If anyone else still has them that would be great, but if not I'll survive ;)

Speaking of 90s covers, I've been making these for myself, sorry they're not in English but feedback is always great. :) Funny thing, TESB and ROTJ weren't released back then even though they were marketing them inside the SW cover, so their posters are based on what's seen there. They released the whole trilogy in 1995 like in other countries and these are based on the 1994 cover. They're 90% ready and I think I'll use these for the upcoming GOUT.

Not sure if these have been posted on here yet, but I stumbled across them today.

I think they look very nice indeed!

I was going to make covers with those, but decided not to.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

Chainsaw Ash, would you mind if I just take a shot at recreating some similar covers to yours? Until you or someone else can re-upload them or something that is.

Go for it.  I thought about doing that myself, but sadly don't really have the time what with school and all.

I was bored again and did this.

I'm not sure what to put on the back. I think it looks okay with nothing.

(I recycled part of AVP's Empire Reconstruction spine again. hope you don't mind.)

What do you guys think?

That's really nice. Love the minimalist approach but I think it would go better with SW instead of ESB.

Try using the original "oblique" logo. I think it's more fitting. Also for the ESB one, perhaps a Hoth rebel trooper would suit better.

Hum, perhaps the title could be a bit smaller. It's taking too much space. Also black may seem like an excessive contrast. What about playing around with a few alternative colours?

And on a small sidenote, you're quite good with this vector stuff. Which software do you use?

Size-wise looks a lot nicer, but I think the pilot looked better where he was before. It's a bit hard to judge though. I'll leave it to you (can't stay here all night also).

I'm not too sure about the colours yet, but given that it worked out quite well for the ESB logo, what about hollowing out this one as well, leaving a simple black or light gray outline with a white filling? The problem is that the logo has very little space between the various letters which makes it look like an inkblot at a distance, especially when painted black or with any other strong filling. Hollowing it out kinda solves that issue.

Alternatively a light gray filling with an even lighter gray outline could produce some interesting results too. But I'm still inclined towards a hollowed version.

And could please save these in PNG instead? They're really hard to edit when saved in jpeg, not to mention inferior printing quality.

Working on a new set of covers.

[Update] Turning into what might be my best work.
