I've been watching Building Empire (currently on part 13 on youtube), and there have been several moments of "Restored Score", where portions of Williams' score were excised the final cut of ESB. I suppose that's director's choice, but I quite like some of them. Any word on Ady's thoughts on restoring some of the missing bits of the fantastic score?

As said in the first post, he won't be adding any music that wasn't originally in the film. I'm guessing he means the final cut of the film, so I doubt it.

Agreed. Some of the Super 8/70mm dialog sounds better delivered, at least to my ears. Adywan, are you planning on using some of these alternate deliveries?

adywan, there's a couple of minor, strange 'glitches' on both the GOUT and the SE footage that I've never noticed before, until I looked closely at the 'chamber' scenes recently. 

I don't know if you'll be able to do anything with this first one or not...but when Vader turns around from Needa, the sides of the frame 'distort' briefly when the 'viewscreen' comes on.  The footage seems to 'bulge outwards' at the sides at this point, distorting the look of the wall detail momentarily...

It's not obvious in the 3rd shot below, and needs to be seen in motion...

And here's the second one.  If you look past the 2 black 'prongs' of the 'chamber' nearest to us in the shot below, you'll see that a small portion of the white interior behind them seems to mysteriously move briefly.  It happens at the point that the entrance door fully opens, then closes again... 

Perhaps you can make this small white section remain static, before the shot begins to move?

I never noticed that ImperialFighter. If Adywan doesn't know, it's a good thing you brought it up. Also, I was wondering, and forgive me if this has been mentioned before but, Adywan, are you going to show the rebel fleet jumping to lightspeed just before the credits or not? Lastly, with the theatrical ESB bootleg being released, would you consider, color timing the Revisited edit to match this? Though I'm not sure if video degradation might cause inaccurate colors...

 What are the lines? And how bad is the music overtop of them? A good friend of mine just helped me with exactly this kind of problem for my Disney Sleepy Hollow restoration/re-edit

Hi there revisited fans! I've been checking out this forum for a while now and i have to say you're all doing a great job, especially you, Ady! Since i've seen ANH:R i've been pretty sure that's the best version of the film there is. I've been thinking about a poster(dvd cover) of some sort for TESB:R and i came up with this one a while ago. Inspired by the 1997 edition (one of my favourite SW posters) i have made some changes...replaced Vader's tie advanced with a lamda class shuttle as it is now used in the film even by captain Needa. Then changed the emperor's look to match the holo image and have also made some saturation adjustments to make the poster look a bit less colorfull. So what do you think? :)

That looks really nice, almareon! I especially like how you incorporated that logo! I think that the lamba shuttle may be a bit too huge and prominent, though--maybe consider downsizing? And I like how you toyed with the saturation to make it less colorful, but I think you may have gone just the slightest bit too far. Just my suggestions, of course--feel free to ignore them! Either way, it looks really good. =)

The score was cut for a reason, mostly. I find it actually spoils the atmosphere in the training and duel scenes.

thank you for the comments, guys :) as for the shuttle, i tried downsizing it but it looks a bit out of place when it's smaller...I think this way it looks that the two ties are flying in formation with it. But i might try doing something to make it less prominent :)

yeah...i have the same feeling. I'll try to make the shuttle a bit smaller. I will have to remove a majority of the original tie advanced and restore the covered star destroyer spots...if you think it's worth the effort :)

Hoth showed up in the Clone Wars cartoons....there may or may not have been some local wild life in the background that could be used. Even if they are cartoony style they might be so small in AdY's edit you wouldn't even notice.
