[CE](3?)[PR](3?)(i?)[CSX]/i- Did Minerva's Den take longer to load textures than BS1/2 did for you?  I wonder if it was slower running off of the harddrive... but I constantly found myself looking at blurry textures for a couple seconds before they sharpened up.

Also, did you ever catch the full name of the "Thinker"?  It was "Rapture Operational Data Interpreter Network", or R.O.D.I.N.  Rodin's the Thinker, right?  Did you further know that there's a swiming pool under this dance floor Rodin, when properly pronounced, sounds a lot like Shodan?

I just saw that on Cult of Rapture and thought it was cool.

You have indeed come to the right place! Sony's Next Generation Portable sounds very interesting, but like most things, I'll wait to see the games before I get too excited.

The tech is cool.  That's the same thought I had about the PSP.  Then when they started pushing UMD movies over games on the PSP, I quickly lost interest. 

Like 005, I'll wait and see what games are coming.  And also the price.  IGN suggested the price wouldn't be above $250... but with all that hot tech that's on it, I'd be really surprised if it wasn't $350ish.  Or more.

Microsoft is remaking Halo 1 for the 10th (!!!) anniversary. Sweet action.

I've heard this was coming.  I'm not sure how I feel about it.  Hopefully it's good, but I'd rather see something set in the post Halo 3 timeframe.

Well, there's Bungie and then there's Bungie.  At least a few prominent members of the Halo team now work for 343.  Frank O'Connor  (sp?) was the lead story guy on Halo 3.  He's the director of 343 now, so it's not too far off I think.

My official recommendations are:

Fall of Reach by Nylund: Read this one, if it's the only one you read.
The Flood by not-Nylund: Don't read unless you can't be bothered to play Halo CE (or the upcoming remake)
First Strike by Nylund: Not as good as other Nylunds, but still pretty good.  Pretty much required if you want to read:
Ghosts of Onyx by Nylund: No Master Chief, but full of characters from other Nylund books.  Has a lot of back story that might influence how you view Halo 3.
Journal of Catherine Halsey (included with high dollar copies of Halo Reach) by Nylund: Short, and more than a little meta, but a very good read.

Contact Harvest by not-Nylund: Don't read, unless you can't get enough Sgt. Johnson.  Also features a Grunt as a main character.  It's actually written by Joe Staten, Bungie writer and voice of the Grunts.
Cole Protocol by not-Nylund: I couldn't get through more than the first couple chapters.
Halo Evolution vol 1&2: I don't know...  But I'd like to read them.

Cryptum: Forerunner #1: by Greg Bear: Sounds good?

Halo comics- I haven't read any that I'd recommend.

Getting closer!

I need to play that again. It is my canon, after all.

I think it's time to make Lego: Halo a reality.

Thinking about getting Dead Space now that you can find it for under $20. Gotta get ready for Dead Space 2!

That being said, I have just started play Halo Wars. Love this RTS game! A bit simplistic version of Age of Empires (makes sense since it was developed by the same company).  It's definitely a game where I still want the Halo experience without the FPS.
