About listing the various differences in audio mixes, it was a long time since I last listened to it but the Mono mix really is chock-full of subtle differences to the Dolby Stereo tracks, one difference I remember, is the added soundeffects of static distortion of Leia's hologram in the garage.

You also have the added soundeffects of the X-wings "Lock S-foils in attack position".

And you also have the whining sound of Red Leader's ship (I think that is the pilot) before he crashes to his death "Stay there. I just lost my starboard engine".

We want you to be aware that we have no plans—now or in the future—to restore the earlier versions.

Sincerely, Lynne Hale publicity@lucasfilm.com

There are some PCM and DTS isolated music tracks in Wookiegroomer's BD releases, but they are of course the SE.

What does everyone think about doing a new fullscreen version? the only reason I am thinking this is because I have the FS versions of ESB and Jedi on my drive now because of getting the theatrical audio, I was about to delete them, I would have to dig up a SW fullscreen version though, maybe I will just slide it over to an external for now.

That actually sounds like an interesting idea, DJ. Might as well preserved them all in the best possible quality. After all, I bet a full screen laserdisc is what some on the forum grew up watching. If anything, it's nostalgic.

I'd like to see a fullscreen version if only because that's the way I grew up with the films until 1995 when I bought the widescreen FACES vhs set

Ugh, fullscreen.

Not saying you shouldn't do it, 'cause I understand the nostalgia factor.  But still...

Ugh.

I hear you Frink, not a big fan of Foolscreen myself, plus I think I typed before I thought LOL, that would mean manual IVTC'ing ALL them sides for yet another project, I really want to get these done and start something totally fresh, my mind is moving, I have ideas already, Hell I can't believe I started and now just about finished another bonus set, I tried new settings on an updated IVTC filter and was hoping that it would do the whole darn project, but after further review, HELL NO it didn't, so this new bonus set I had to manual IVTC! DAMN did that SUCK! but I am happy with it and am glad I re did it, I have always wanted to re do it, I was not very happy with my first attempt.

Seems unnecessary to me.  I'll be happy enough just getting the widescreen versions.

If the full screen version is too much work, then don't bother Dark Jedi. I only encourage this release if it is quick and easy, so people can have this for nostalgia.

Just a small update on things, in case you guys did not know, msycamore did in fact update the subs for Jedi, and I must say, they look very nice, I sent him samples of all the subs just so we could be 100% sure all is good, and he verified that they are perfect, so now I will render Jedi tonight, like I told him, there IS an end in sight, damn I can't wait, it is looking like I will be authoring this set up along with the other Bonus set at the same time, so you guys getting the sets first, will be getting ALL at the same time, laserdisc player bye, bye, LOL.

Looks fairly good for an uncorrected LD Capture.  Which LD pressing is this?  What was done as far as filtering etc?  Cheers

That preview looks great Dark Jedi! I do hope your bonus set finds its way to the newsgroup one day in the future. :)

I am not sure yet if this one will.

I don't know what he means by "uncorrected" but I thought it look alright, way better than my first attempt at this set, I am not trying to make it look like the V3 set, won't happen anyways, but better than standard LD, it looked pretty good on my 65" Mits HDTV.

Sorry, by uncorrected, I meant not color corrected.  I thought your original post about this set said that you would not be doing any color correction for this version, so I made that assumption. :)  I'm just curious which LD pressing this is.  Seems like the SWE from the opening CBS logo.  I do actually think it looks pretty good.
