Watching Bob's vid, I insist, one of the most obvious differences between CT and ST is the opacity of their suits .If there was something doable to this it could work even better, though I don’t know if it would be really a good idea to mix clonetroopers and stormtroopers in the same scene. I think it would rather be more symbolic, to show them “receiving” their new amours. It comes to my mind the “clone reveal” scene in Kamino, when you see all those suited troopers walking and taking their helmets from an assembly line.

Perhaps with some heavy AE work (changing the background for one more Imperial-like, even one that look on board of a SD), plus tweaking the helmets to make it look like OT stormtroopers you could get it to work like the ultimate “this is the Galactic Empire” scene.

I remember that Bob said that his end for ROTDS will be a lot different from the original release, so I don’t know if this suggestion could fit in his plan for the edit; though I’m sure he’ll make it better than the theatrical version, for in ROTS the visual moment that indicates the transtition from Republic to Empire is that the SD goes from red to gray (rather flat stuff for such a “hinge” in the saga). What’s more, SDs in the rest of the saga (even in AOTC, Republic Era)  have always been gray, and the only episode that feels out of place in that sense, is ROTS.
