Wow after seeing some of the clips on youtube, especially the whole Mos Eisley sequence, I've been blown away. It's such excellent quality yet so close to the theatrical.
You mentioned that you may redo the despecialized editions. I agree with your idea to use DJ's V3 GOUT (with permission); it would prove an excellent choice. Though I'm not quite sure about using the Blu-Ray as an HD source, from the preview on amazon.com, it doesn't look like any issues have been remedied. Although, it's possible they're just using footage from the 2004 master. In any case, I think the color corrected Adywan version is vastly superior. Although, alternatively, you probably can color correct it; your work for the ROTJ reconstruction was pretty imprssive. Also, if you make a second attempt at despecialized editions, have you considered completely despecializing the movies this time around. You obviously possess the technical ability now, as shown by your great work in restoring the whole Mos Eisley sequence. A complete HD version seems to be the holy grail... Anyway, in any case, I respect your judgment if you decide otherwise.
