Not only did it scare me when I was a kid but it scared everyone in my class who saw it on TV in the mid 80's.
Also, over 500 comments on Youtube, all saying how much it scared them as a kid.

I've only just realised how similar that scene is structurally to the cenobitisation of Channard in Hellraiser II.
