I've long wished they would make an Evil Dead 4. Continuing from the "I slept too long" ending of Army of Darkness, an older Bruce Campbell could fit the continuity (in that ending it showed his hair grow over that period, so it could make since that he slowly aged during those several hundred years he slept).

Unfortunately... I don't think that will happen. However, to me Raimi's idea of doing a remake is pretty cool. Keep in mind, the original was a really low budget film. A remake would be taking the idea and turning it into a modern full budget horror flick. With the droves of really, really, really lame horror films that are pumped out of studios every year, I really don't see any negative aspect to a remake of The Evil Dead.
