You've got some characters in that .nfo which don't play well with things.

True, there are some code page 437 characters present, but NFOs are intended to be viewed, not "played with".

So what came first the inverse telecine or the chroma shift/avisynth filtering/video noise reduction?  It's been awhile, but do you recall the process?  And with all the color discussion of late, do you think the colors you modified towards were overly influenced by the laser disc? 

I can't remember in what order the filters were applied. The IVTC would have been early on, and noise reduction towards the end of the script. I may still have the script sitting on my hard drive somewhere, I'll have a look.

Looking back, the noise reduction was way too aggressive. Tatooine's sand came out looking flat and textureless.

It's quite possible that I reduced the colour saturation to be in line with the laserdiscs; it also may have been an attempt to reduce the effect of the shifted chroma.
