Second, I noticed some time ago that just after Lando reveals his plan to escape from the Imperials at Cloud City, one of Leia's lines was cut out from the Special Edition and 2004 DVD. In the original release, Leia says “Do you think that after what you did to Han that we’re going to trust you?” In ’97 SE and afterward, however, all we can hear her say is “Do you think that after what you did to Han” before Chewie growls (quite loudly) and cuts her off. This has actually bothered me ever since I saw the SE in the theater for the first time. Ady, is there any chance of restoring the original dialogue here?

Never noticed that before, here's the evidence

Well there you go Chewie clearly had something more important to say in George's original vision.

Yeah I noticed that too - I don't know why he would change it.  The original line is much better.

He's more machine now than man...twisted and evil

I'll asume it will be fixed. But I'd love some confirmation.

During the Hoth battle that gray 'chest box' on Luke's suit changes as far as I can count 3 times short in a row from the moment he crashes up to where he detaches himself after throwing the bomb into the AT-AT.

When he is about to open the crashed fighter we can see the regular make-up: top right 2 blue squares, and below that three buttons: white with black dot on top half, gray with white dot on bottom half, white with black dot top half.

-Note- The very first frontal shot of Luke at the beginning of the battle, shows the blue squares black.

Then in the close-up of him with the opened cockpit the blue squares are white (and there's one missing) and the white's have no dot, and the grey one a black dot.

Then, when he is hanging from the AT-AT and the hatch is opened (you see a closer full body shot of him) The black dot is missing from the top half of the left white button.

The extreme close-up of the detachment show yet anóther configuration: The top blue square is now missing, the right white button has no dots at all. Plus you can see the three buttons are made of wood, due to chipped paint.

After all of this flip-flopping the box goes back to normal from here on (You can see this when Han leaves the base).

I really hope this is/will be fixed. It's an eyesore.

Well it WAS a Blu-ray player, of course! What would be the point of an HD projector hooked up to an ol' DVD player? Besides, the data on the disc itself doesn't change.

Hiya.

Another long time lurker, wanting to thank Adywan (and everyone else who helps with his projects) for all his hard work on his past projects and future ones. Revisited is the watched edition in our house. Cant wait to see what you've done with ESB.

Keep up the good work.

Oh that reminds me, it bothers me that Leia's pronunciation of Han's name changes throughout the movie. Now I can understand different people pronouncing names differently (Tarkin saying "Leeah" while most other characters say "Layah") but why would her pronunciation change WITHIN the movie?

Agreed.

Maybe it's the mood or tone for the situation that accounts for the way Leia pronounces "Han".

You know someone named Han?  Cool.

In all seriousness, I don't know what Ady could do about this.  Even if it were possible to seamlessly insert a different audio sample of "Han" to replace the instances where it's pronounced differently (which I don't believe it is), would it really be worth the trouble?  I for one think it's a non-issue.

Hi guys,

I know it is way too early concerning the audio side of things but I was wondering today if Ady intended to leave the copy-pasted music cue from the end of "Lando's Palace" (when Luke chats with R2 in the cockpit, right before the prison scene) during the Cloud Car fly-by (copy-pasted musical elements within a movie just to fill the soundtrack, and still it's not as disturbing as in the PT...).

I know it's not much (and I hope I don't blaspheme :D) and I can live with it but I was wondering if this short cue during these added SE shots was really necessary.

I had brought up this quite some time ago but: is it just me or did they really move the musical cue when the Falcon detaches from the Star Destroyer for the DVD so that now it begins either a little bit earlier or later (I don't remember)? I remember being shocked by this the very first time I saw the DVD, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't like this on the GOUT or even the SE :)

I too agree that different pronunciation of names in the films are OK, due to different tonal emotion. I would not change them.

IMHO I always thought that Tarkin (despicably) pronounced Leia's name "Leeah" due to his "imperial accent", thinking he said it correctly and assuming Leia didn't even know how to pronounce her own 'rebel' name :P

OK don't hurt me Trek reference coming up

that wonderful movie that is ST Insurrection (PLEASE NOTE; Sarcastic tone)

Worf is the only one who gets Admiral Dougherty  name pronounced correctly in the whole move ITS DaH'herty NOT FECKING DOWerty! (sorry minirant™ over)

Back to topic (slightly) it was the same with Dooku, it was pronounced Doew'Cue at least once. which tbh I preferred.

I prefer the lower sounding "Hàn" over the high pitched "Hán"...
I remember someone (Obi-Wan?) calling Dooku "Deku", as if pronouncing it really fast, and hammering down the "o". I preferred the longer "Doew'Cue" as well.

I totally get different people pronouncing the same name differently.  But the same person using different pronunciations depending on the situation?  I don't get it.

I would pronounce it Doc-her-ty.

It seems to be Luke & Leia that have a problem with pronunciation (there is also Tarkin & Dodonna who pronounce Leia as Lee-ah)

They'd probably just say it's part of Leia's different accents in ANH thing. There's something clearly wrong with her brain.
