Lead on another Star Wars. 1993.02.01

http://groups.google.com/group/rec.arts.sf.starwars/browse_thread/thread/4b1b243c716c4462/1f8c66e95aab3706?hl=pt&q=%22star+wars%22+%22bootleg%22#1f8c66e95aab370

I've seen ads in Comic Buyers Guide for a Star Wars Bootleg copy with
different angles on some scenes and no opening credits. What can anyone
tell me about this? I think the asking price was $24.95 or something.

same posters tries asking again for info:

But this lead could be false, as I would guess those CBG ads didn't get vetted, at all, so it could be a fake. There are some phunnie fakes offered up in some usenet posts. Remember being tempted but the descriptions were too good to be true, and the usenet populace would quickly respond with 'scam' warnings.

I was wondering if it was known for sure which run of Star Wars these bootlegs came from.

Informations going to be difficult to come by at this point, unless someone close to the source wants to discuss. After the first round of viewing and discussing, the collective questions which don't have adequate answers can be forwarded towards the people who offered up these versions.

*EDIT*

SW1977 Beta tape lead:

Back in 1977 when it first came out, we saw it at the theater 3 or 4
times; bought it blackmarket on Beta tape; then with friends and family
always wanting to watch it, I quit counting how many times I've watched
it after the 77th viewing.
