I definitely like Monro's idea.
Sounds natural as is, and that's what it should have looked like, judging from Luke's split second reaction.

I quite like the idea of this right-arm 'swipe' too, for the 'replacement' Wampa shot.  I'm curious to see if adywan keeps to more of a 'forward lunge' with both claws, as in the original, or not.  I guess the shot that comes immediately after that shot will help to determine it's posture in the shot before it.  I don't have a screenshot at hand for after the Wampa's 'lunge forward', but if you watch the footage, we then see the left-hand side/and back of the Wampa in front in 'close-up' nearest to us, as Luke goes to make his sudden strike with his lightsaber.  Can't wait for the 'behind-the-scenes' Wampa details on the 'extras' disc!

As i have said before, i tried to place the background building in the correct position in respect to the previous SE shot but it really screwed with the flow of the composite.  I've added a 3D zoom into this shot and i love the way it turned out.  You need to see it in motion really.

I meant to say that this recent 'Bespin' screenshot is looking awesome with it's new CGI, clouds, roof detail, background buildings, and additional tiny cloud-car traffic in the distance.  Looking forward to seeing the '3D zoom' on this eventually.  Great stuff! :)

It would be far easier for Jedi to have an on/off button on their hilt that actually works. Especially if they use lightsaber throws on enemies.  Imagine having to both guide the lightsaber, keep it on, and focus on your other enemies as well? Should be brutal on any Jedi's mind :p LOL

That's why they're Jedis.  >:)

On another note: not that it is a big deal or anything (as the shot is pretty cool already), but this may cause some hair-pulling.

If you notice the angle of the shadows in Leia's room, the sun should be somewhere around the 1:00 area on the X-Y axis and around the 2:00 area on the Z axis... which does not match the lighting on the buildings at all, as the sun (for the buildings) is around the 7:00 area on the X-Y axis and 10:00 on the Z.

EDIT: okay, after messing with the pic on GIMP, maybe it's another one of those optical illusions...

The thing I really like about that Bespin shot is it enhances the original work while keeping the better new-style apartment. Nice blend of original and new.

Quick, someone do a side-by-side comparison of Ady's recent screen cap with the GOUT/SE!

Where's 005 when we need him? ;)

P.S.  A tiny donation sent Ady.

12 month lurker first time poster so welcome to everyone - really enjoy reading some of what you guys discuss.

That last shot is pretty special!

Ady, me and a bunch of my mates love your work on SW-R - the mix of the Imperial March with the planet under the Death Star and the Star Destroyers was amazing...and the Emperors theme too was awesome!

In know this is off topic so back to ESB-R.  Can't wait to see it.  We live in Worcester (UK) so if you need any Imperials or Rebels for ROTJ-R just let me know!!

Welcome Xizor. What sort of costumes do you have because i will need extras for ROTJ:R. Do you have any pics? You don't live too far from me either. Drop me a PM

Jaitea, where did you get the extra background buildings from?

We've not got any costumes (currently) but let me know what you're thinking and we can see what we can come up with.  Are you thinking full on armour or costumes.  If we can help in any capacity (and being a relative short drive away) we'll do our best!

From the opening section of the SE scene...then morphed them a bit to change the height perspective.

I'm just a supporter chiming in to say I'm just as excited about this project as ever.  I loved ANH:R and eagerly look forward to ESB:R.  I appreciate all the hard work you guys are doing.  As a fan of both the films and your work, thanks.

ADYWAN, I hope you and you're dad are doing well.

Great work, Jaitea! I really dig the specular highlight on the window and exterior wall. Very natural.

Hi guys I also am a long time lurker (a couple of years!) and have never realy posted, I love your work Adywan and I am realy looking forward to this edit. I think its only fair that I send a donation over, after all you have given me anh r, anh hd, esb hd, esb theatrical, episode 1 hd and esb r soon! I also live in the uk and would be well up for extra scenes for rotj r (I have stormtrooper armour). Also I enjoy making star wars models (fine molds etc) so if theres a model you need I can bung it in the post for you! (I am aware that you do your own models etc I just thought it may save time) sorry for hi jacking the thread. All the best to you and your family.

Well... I forget to visit for a couple days, and a ton of crap happens.

Hoping everything is going well with you and yours, Ady.

I wish I could make some sort of suggestion about ESB, but I can't think of anything. I can't help feeling a little useless...
