In any case, I think the movies need this contrast between different archetypal characters to add interest and drama. At the moment, all the main guys are sterile monks with no personality. As well as being more like knights than they are currently, they need that interaction with characters with differing ideologies and approaches to situations.

E.g.

Consider this. Obi Wan and Bail Organa have ended up in "aggressive negotiations". The blast doors have closed and Obi Wan begins suggesting they look for an alternative route around (or something else suitably reserved and Jedi Like), at which point Bail Shoots the control panel and the doors open. Bail gives a cocky shrug and a smile.

Or the opposite kind of situation.

There are a troop of enemy clones up ahead. Bail goes to raise his blaster only for Obi Wan to stop him.

"There are alternatives to fighting"

He uses the force to create some kind of diversion and the clones leave. To which Bail says something like "and I thought this was gonna be fun"

That's just plucked out of thin air. Actual dialogue would be better, but you can see the potential there for comedy and interest as well as conflicts between main characters.
