I think my original request may have gotten buried under the mass of responses to the HD announcement so I'm going to indulge myself and ask again:

Well you don't have to watch it if all these so called mistakes will be in your face because it will be in HD. I'd love to know what all these mistakes you keep talking about are

You know, not enough CG, too many practical effects, too many realistic puppets, not enough lens flares...
The usual stuff.

I know, I know... but that probably won't stop a few from showing up here and there...
As a suggestion (please don't hit me), I would maybe add a bit of subtlety. Someone had the idea of using the orchestral version of the ROTS music during the Ben and Vader scene, and I still think the EMPIRE dirge is out of place for the TIE reveal (ie.could use something faster, more ANH sounding)
buuut....
2016 is a long way off, and there will be plenty of things to do during the wait. Overall, what we have still has pretty fantastic PQ. Regardless, it will be interesting to see what slight tweaks may be in store when it comes out...

Dont get me wrong ady. Im trying to make a better if not best the movie experience. I will make a list soon i go home :)

My only real question to Ady is do you want us to take down all mentions of the original version come 2016 and destroy our copies to replace them with your original vision?

This one will be my true vision. The others were only "workprints". When "Revisited:Special Edition" comes out only a handful of fanboys will cry out for the original version to be restored and preserved in HD, but it would be too expensive for me to ............

I was just wondering what we should call this new version. HENCEFORTH it shall be known as ANHRSE.

The HD version of star wars revisited sounds like a great idea. Any update on when Empire Revisited will be released? I remember hearing something a while back about February 2011?

This is great news! Although I can't help think that Adywan is avoiding something.....named the prequels.
I think he saw the latest Redlettermedia review and realized just how unsalvagable they are.
I think Adywan's thought process was something like this.
"Yea! finsihed ROTJ:R.... now onto the prequels..oh....oh no..... I think I'd rather do a movie that I have already spent 2 years of my life deconstructing, driving myself crazy, then tackle those aweful things......."
But in the end...this is great ADY! When you finish AHR:SE then you can start on ESB:RSE in 4HD or 3D HD!

The news of an HD release of Episode IV revisited made me jump in my chair with excitement. Even if it's a loooooong ass way off I still look forward to it with eager anticipation. :)
Also, Ady, I know that you said you won't be taking further suggestions on nips and tucks for the new release, but even so... I'd like to reiterate that I'd enjoy a longer, more dramatic destruction of Alderaan sequence. I recall you were working with an overseas team to film new footage for ESB revisited. Have you considered re-teaming with them to make new footage in ANH?
