Adywan does not work for Lucasfilm. We do not know if Lucas has seen Revisited, but the blu-ray will probably be the DVD we already have!

I wouldn't be surprised if Lucas has seen it, but he hasn't gone on record one way or the other.
Unfortunately, Star Wars: Revisited would have to be redone from scratch for it to be Blu-Ray quality, which Adywan (understandably) doesn't want to do. However, The Empire Strikes Back: Revisited will be in 720p high-def, which is about halfway in-between standard DVD quality and full Blu-Ray quality.
He's also hinted that Return of the Jedi: Revisited may be done at full 1080p (Blu-Ray) quality, and it seems likely that he'll use the new Blu-Ray set as a base for it and his prequel "Revisited"-s.
One good thing about the passage of time is that electronics prices drop a lot. Except, of course, when you really need something. :p

Couldn't resist. Haven't been on the forums in a couple of years I think, and I come back to find what is easily the best fan edit I've ever seen. Well done Adywan, this is a brilliant piece of work. You've made all the edits I have been planning to make in my versions for some time, with the addition of really clever edits that I never even thought of. I'm super impressed.
At this stage I'm definitely considering using your "Revisited" edits as the base for my OT edits, because they're just so good and make the number of changes I'd have to make myself so few.
The only changes I would make are based solely on the overriding intent that is the impetus behind the edits I'm currently undertaking of the saga: Preserve the Secret. That is, don't spoil the best moment in the saga (I am your father) by giving it away in the prequels. As such, I've been editing the Prequel trilogy with that in mind, and my edits to the OT will follow the same logic, which means tiny subtractions from dialogue. Dropping the reference to Vader being Obi-Wan's pupil for instance, dropping Vader's line "When I left you I was but the learner" but keeping now I am the master, dropping "Darth" from Obi Wan's response (as it implies Darth is his first name instead of a title). Other little subtractions and shufflings as well.

I mean, yes, it would be awesome to see this edit in HD, but - and I'm saying this with nothing but respect - haven't you done enough already? You work so hard, man. Perhaps even too hard. And there's still ROTJ (and maybe even PT) to make... I don't know. Seems a bit too much.
But you must do what you feel is right, of course. :) Either way - good luck with everything!

Where did you get that Adywan quote? Everything I've read, Adywn has said "no" he won't be doing a ANH:R in HD.

Now that it's official, I'm gonna say it...
HELL YEAH!!! This is awesome! XD I had a blast watching ANH:R. An HD version would be mind blowing.
One question tough - it's basically a yes/no question - will it be different than the DVD version? Do you plan on removing/adding some stuff that you didn't the 1st time around?
I understand it's far away from now, but still - will it be different?

In all seriousness, I'm very excited by this news.
There will be some differences because i can't recreate it 100% faithfully but it will be as close as possible. But i won't be taking any suggestions for changes/ fixes for the HD version
