I will only buy the sets if Salacious Crumb wears a fez and monkey pants, that's the bottom line.

Ha!

Very amusing indeed.

On blu-ray.com, I'm quite curious how it is that posts that just say things like "saga for me!!" and "whoopee! pre-ordered it!" get so many thumbs-up clicks, whereas posts that contain actual content all get so many thumbs-down that they end up getting hidden?  Seriously, the only interesting posts are the ones you have to click to view.  Are there people that actually spend the time going through and clicking thumbs-up on all the "yahooey!" posts?  Does LFL have all their workers go through and do that?  Or does he pay someone there make a bunch of fake accounts just to go through and make sure the substantive posts get hidden while all the vapid "yippees!" get 10 stars?!

It's hard to imagine that Star Wars is the only movie in the world for which the majority of people DON'T want the theatrical version released!!??  But that's the way it looks.  How sad!

It's also paradoxical that the less involved the creator of the series is involved, the better the product is. Usually it's the reverse.

I was so busy looking at the colors (despite being color blind) that I didn't even notice any of the oddities until I saw Jar-Jar smiling at me at the end.  There was a double take back to the other pictures.

Anyway, I haven't been in this section of the forum for a while, so I'm a little late to the party.  But suffice it to say, I don't give a rat's ass whether these colors are the '04 colors, some new '11 color, black and white, or 3-D, or neon.  Even if the colors were the original colors, I still wouldn't be buying this if it's just the special editions.  I don't care how awesome their special features are.

Oh, and I don't own a Blu-ray player or Hi-Def TV.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

From the looks of the first picture, I'm pretty sure they added a wet t-shirt contest for Leia...

I hope it's clear, that I've tweaked these pictures myself, it's not actually anything official (sorry - wasn't sure whether you're joking or not)...

And yes ;-)

It's finally available for pre-order...may the Force be with You All.

EMPEROR: Yesssss...the price is tempting, isn't it? Do not underestimate the power of the Dark Side!

YODA: Do not give into your anger!

(YOUR MIND: "G.L. has taken too much of my money...I'll find another way to obtain the blu's on the in-ter-net. Yeah that'll show him.")

YODA: Do not give into your fears

(YOUR MIND: "G.L. will never release the OUT on DVD or BLU anamorphically, so, screw it, I'll just buy now.")

YODA: Do not give into your aggression!

(YOUR MIND: "I'm gonna write G.L. a letter calling him a hypocritical, old clod who'd better release the anamorphic OUT and stop using money as an excuse or else ....or else.... I'll microwave my Jar Jar toy I got as a free giveaway with my pizza order, then I'll send him a YouTube Video link of it! BURN, JAR JAR! BURN!!!! AHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" .....

YODA: "Do that...you must not!"

FINAL THOUGHT: Be strong with the Force...resist the buy now button. Inaction is sometimes the strongest of all actions.

What mooks. They're still insisting that it's prohibitively expensive for poor LFL to do any kind of restoration at all.

Fuck me.

Just out of curiosity I wanted the read the 1 star reviews and their reasoning on the amazon page.... this guy is everywhere.

The shocking thing is that Lucas will let you buy the OT without the PT.

That's the first thing I thought upon seeing the announcement. Following this vein if/when the OOT restored and released on blu-ray/new format I won't have to buy the PT. I'm very surprised they're giving the consumer options.

edit: sorry about the length of the screencap and the comment being cut off but we can all probably fill in the gaps.

And way to go Kenneth using your mothers amazon account to post your rhetoric.

Guess who posted for the first time on the HTF today?

Harmy that photshop of Han and Greedo with walkie talkies is the best thing ever.

Now if you photoshoped walkie talkies swinging into the AT-ST instead of logs we might have a new winner.

Now I've got to go visit the home theatre forum out of curiosity. What is wrong with me?

Thanks. It was actually Adywan's idea, I just thought it would be fun to see.

I've been watching and rewatching the BR trailer at starwars.com and Yoda is still blueish, Palpatine still has eye slugs, Vader's saber is still bloody pink...

Please tell me that they didn't have enough time to assemble a little trailer with scenes from the BR discs or I'll start thinking those scenes in the trailer ARE indeed the NEW footage in the discs!!! Noooooooooooooooooooo!!

Do you like astromech droids? Check The Astromech Collection fan page!

It's probably just recycled SE footage for a promo trailer. Unless LFL is completely stupid and just uses the same source as the 2004 SE discs.

To really piss off The Bearded One...

I'm going to steal the complete set and send Marcia Lucas the money I would've spent.

Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.
