ok then, answer me this: If the trailer is no indication of what the blu-ray set will look like and that they have just used stock footage from the old releases, as some people have said, then why have they used the new transfer for TPM? Wouldn't that be the old footage too?

Maybe they've had the new transfer ready for years.  We did see the new Yoda as early as 2005.

yes they have. this was documented in an interview years ago that they had the HD transfer ready for a Blu-Ray release

But specifically for Menace, right?  Because if they'd been working on it for a while (by the time the Yoda clip came out the film was already six years old), then maybe since then they've been working on Clones and Sith, and haven't reached the OT yet.
