I placed this elsewhere, but I meant for it to be here. Couldn’t figure out a way to delete it.

I’m not sure this belongs here, and if it doesn’t, please tell me where to go.

Look, I really want to do this. There is a guy doing this already but is taking his time, but my thought is, why not have other comics, just like we have tons of prequels edits.

We had a group that wanted to do an animated prequel trilogy, but perhaps that’s a bit too complicated.

I think at this point, this is our best bet to get a proper prequel trilogy. I don’t mind writing it, but I need someone who can draw.

So, I guess at this point that’s my question. Anyone know how to draw? Hit me up. I’m really itching to do this!

It's a good idea and the final result if well received could serve as a storyboarded script for a fanedit/fanfilm/animation.

I imagine the thread would be better served in the writing or art forums though.

You aren't proposing the editing video but making an altered/ new story with still images and writing.

You're thinking about creating a whole new back story, but one that actually makes sense? That would be sweet! The problem, though, is that it's impossible to spot all the plot holes by yourself - even if you wrote it - so you would have to show the script to as many people as possible. And you should probably start with writing an outline or something like that, like a rough draft with little to no dialogue - and see what other people think about it. Writing a script - that alone will be very time consuming. I say, 1st you write it and don't even think about how you gonna draw it.

Maybe you should start off by gathering information on what people expected and wanted to see in the prequels. Write down ideas that you think can work and are acceptable in a Star Wars story.

After that, write a story outline. Post it on here and let others rip it apart - let them express their opinions and suggestions. And then - after the received criticism - rewrite your story outline and let them rip it apart again. And then again and again - until you have a story that is acceptable for at least 70% of the people.

It's impossible to please everybody, so you have to focus more on what you want. Cause, ultimately, it's gonna be your take on the Star Wars back story.

I wish you good luck with this and - just so you know - no one is going to judge you if you decide to drop this idea/quit this project. Cause it takes a lot of time and patience to create a good Star Wars story.

All of those ideas are fine.. Still need an artist though. I can do stick figures, and that's about it..

Wasn't that, like, George's main mistake when he made the PT? That he focused primarily on the whole artistic aspect of those films?

It's easier to get help when you have quality material backing you up. So I say, forget about the artist. Get the story right 1st.

George's main mistake is that he chose to write, and direct. Just sayin'... But I also hear what you're saying... Maybe I need to just focus on a script. That alone could be fun.
