Seriously though how pathetic will it be to have the deleted scenes of the oot on blu ray in HD without the actual films,lol. Because i don't count the 2004 as the movies i loved as a kid and made me a fan.
The hell for original trilogy fans is not over either. Not only will the real movies not be on the blu rays, but they will probably break records in blu ray sales, and then Lucas with continue to destroy star wars with his 3-D versions of the 2004 versions.
He can afford to give away half his fortune to charity when you consider how much money he will make on the blu rays and the 3D releases.
He just supposedly spent 30 mill to convert phantom menace. If that does well each other film will be converted in turn unless they do it as a one shot deal. Supposedly some country in india or singapore is converting them on the cheap.
We can get Jar Jar stepping in poo in 3D but no restored original trilogy, its plain madness.

Hadn't thought of that, but now that I am, I fully expect the deleted scenes to be in GOUT shape or worse. You know, for that old-timey 'hey, look what we found!' quality.

The real funny thing about this thread and its a credit to Adywan is that his color corrected HD empire strikes back could be mistaken for the real thing, when most likely the blu rays will be shit colors but better resolution in the source since ady does not have access to the 1080P master files, or the pressed blu ray.
I don't have a blu ray player or a media center but if i do ever get one AdyWan's Star Wars HD and Empire HD will be the ones i watch, not Lucash 2004 hackwork.

I try to get along with you guys and I even understand what the main goal of this site is. But to say the blu-ray release of the star wars films on BD is going to be bad? You don't know that you can't predict the future. Who knows it may be good this time around. And again to be clear I am a star wars fan and have been since 1990.

The deleted scenes will probably have CG animals and ships in the background so that they match The Bearded One's Original Vision.
Since they're like poetry, what with the rhyming and all, I find that I only need to watch three out of the six films.

Wow... I cant believe I just pored over 55 pages of this... Epic to say the least...
I really dont care what Lucas puts out on blu-ray. I will buy it, and it WILL be flawed, and more than likely, some good people here that care and think about it more than money will work hard to fix it. That is what will be sitting in the jewel case while his bastardized versions collect dust in the closet. I just wish it didnt have to be that hard for everyone to enjoy the movies again.
