So wait, does DAYV have lung cancer or not?

I'm confused too.   I do not know what to think.    

Dayv,   you better not have been lying.    Due to what has been going on here, I think you need to show us some proof that you have cancer, are dying and have no health insurance.   I really hope you haven't been deceiving us.  I really hope this isn't some sort of con, cause that would be evil and sick.   

Shawn,  if you made this up just because you've been mad at Dayv, that is a horrible thing to do.

I don't know who to believe, right now. 

I am going to be really really pissed at which ever one of you is the liar.   

Please know this: I created this thread and asked Jay to mass email everyone because I honestly thought Dayv had cancer and was dying and needed help.  If he has committed fraud,  I didn't know and wasn't involved.

Well, one thing I've learnt in my life is that if you've been fooled by a lie, you shouldn't never accuse 'the other person' to be a liar.

If you've been a victim you have your own responsability in it. You actually have a responsability in every kind of situation you face in your life. "Active" or "Passive" participation doesn't make the least difference.

Anyway... All the best guys. I really don't care who tells the truth. Just I think it's the wrong place for it. I don't know you people and the best I can do is to irradiate my best feelings as I am in front of my screen for a tip.

the fact that you've rejected the donations, looks suspicious.    I doubt an innocent person would do that.   An innocent person dying of lung cancer, without health insurance, would have kept the money he needed to get treatment to save his life.  An innocent person would have said Shawn was lying and would have tried to provide evidence of that.

I ask again for evidence from either side   

btw, even though I've been unbanned from Dayv's site, I will not be returning due to the past stuff there.

huh?  why shouldn't  I accuse someone of lying if someone did indeed lie?    its pretty clear that Dayv's and Shawns claims can not both be true.   One or the other is lying or both.   Why shouldn't I say so?

what the hell?   how can you say that Active or passive doesn't make the least difference?????   If  I was active(which I wasn't),  it would mean I had actually committed fraud as well.    If I were passive(which I was) all it would mean is that I had been duped just like all the others .  You don't see a difference between the two?    You don't see a difference between being guilty of fraud and being guilty of gullibility???? 

all did was try to help out someone whom I honestly thought was dying of lung cancer and had no insurance to pay for treatment.

Just was I saying that if I'm too stupid to believe something wrong or to rush into an idea I haven't figured out as authentic or true (yes I call that stupid when I do so), I only blame myself ! That way I become more responsible again about my own choices, not to remain a victim all my life ! ;)

I've known Dayv a while  did not think him capable of committing such a fraud.  I still am not certain now.  I don't know whether I was stupid for believing him or not.   I know this, I'd prefer rushing into this and helping out and find out later that it was fraud, than not help and find out later that that he died.

yes that is very strange.

If you can take care and love the people really close you that much already, you can allow yourself those kinds of extras of course... You then don' t need your actual signature anymore !

I went to the website to see what it might say about treatment of people without insurance, but turned that up instead.  I just found it odd.

Personally, I don't care if he has evidence to show anything.. I don't need someone who has cancer to have to prove to a bunch of strangers that he has problems to deal with..

I don't believe he asked people for money, so you shouldn't feel like you were scammed. People gave because they felt like giving.. I think it's just hard for some to accept that there may be people out there that take advantage of others..

In either case, I'm not spending anymore time reading about drama.. About who lied and who didn't.. Dayv, good luck and hope things work out for you, whatever the problem may be..

For everyone else, you got your refunds (i assume, because I got mine back).. Leave it at that.. Let's just drop this entire thread, and move on.. I don't see the point in making someone prove wether or not they have a serious condition.. We can just delete this thread and move on.. And in the future, just give for the sake of giving.. Doesn't matter what or how it was used.. If you ever feel like it was taken advantage of, then don't give to the same person again, that's all.. Move on and enjoy another day of living..

it does matter to me how the money was used.    when people give to a cause, it should go to that cause and nothing else.    accepting money under false pretenses is wrong and also illegal.

I would rather suggest to open a new section if you want to help that way then because DAYV is certainly not the last having serious personnal troubles around here, whatever it's about health or money. I for one don't want to let you know about my private life, but it's at each one's choice.

A dedicated section would encourage people to speak. The Off Topic is too much a kind of private club where too few people will dare speaking of themselves and their trouble.

 

If I were to learn that I and others were led to do so under false pretenses, we could have a very serious problem.

Forgive me my ignorance but does it make such a difference with donations for a fan edit or else across that site ? I just didn't know any Paypal donation had to be justified, if they are justly donations.

 

 

Dayv, if you have any documentation that you could send to me personally so you don't have to post it for everyone to see, it would be most appreciated.

Mmmhh ? Are you asking only for visual evidences to a graphic designer ?... Don't forget to check these out then...
