Feels like Obi-Wan was playing mind games on Luke. My opinion is, he wanted Luke to be on his side, so he lied to him, in order to motivate him to save Leia. And... what if... Obi-Wan dosent know Vader is Anakin, and he thinks Vader killed Anakin?

"Why didnt you tell me Vader was my father?"
"He is?! Oh... he is! Sure... Uh... You see... Time to go!" *vanishes*
