Don't like them. They aren't 1977, 1980 or 1983. If the movies are supposed to be a good representation of the originals, why can't the disc labels look 'classic' as well. Aside from the color and the fonts, they don't match the awesome cover art.
Sorry but,... WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE LITTLE MAN ???... AND WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE TALKING TO ??!!!!!
I'M AN ARTIST, ME, AND YOUR JUST ONLY A... Eeeerrr... Hahem...
Well, actually I don't like labels in general and I only made these to avoid DJ asking away for some. I don't know what would be a more classic DVD label, as the DVD as a support has nothing classic at all. The best labels are for me the plain silver background (but mostly on CD) with the logos and a few infos.
I think there are enough visuals on the covers not to add more on the labels if that's what you had in mind. The best issue I see personnaly would be a film logo only label, black and white.
Anyway, I'm sure any one will be able to handle some new versions if needed. ;)
I love being friends with Legoman, at least until he bans himself. Then I'll miss him.
I guess my main beef with the rebellion and empire logos is that while they appear in the film, it isn't explicitly obvious what they are. The logo that became the logo for the Rebellion in the EU just started to be one of a myriad of logos that were on the X and Y-wing pilots helmets. It only became the logo of the Rebellion outside of the movies.
I think the discs might be served with poster art to match the covers.
Or maybe there could be discs art based on the helmets of the movies. For this project or any other one.
