*I'm not aware of the US financing dictatorships and I don't agree with it. But you can't use someones mistake to justify not taking action. And the reason we helped Al Qaeda back in the 80s is because the Soviets were our enemies then. They were the bigger threat at that point in history.
* I'm unaware of what you are asserting. If it is true I'm sure he regrets it now.
* Well, it went bankrupt. That isn't a secret
*Who profits from the war? Everyone but the evil regimes that like terrorism.
Lasting peace will never come on this world. And we certainly can't achieve any peace through surrender. The problem with your thinking is that you seam to belive that peace by anymeans is the ultimate goal, but if you gain it by surrender, it is just that. Surrender.
First of all, thanks for keeping a polite, clean conversation about this topic. Some people just take it too seriously - well it is supposed to be taken seriously, bot not seriously enough to offend each other. Besides, we all agree in one thing here: the original star wars trilogy kicked ass

And my answers to your answers...
* Unavoidable? So, the killing of inocent is unavoidable? It is avoidable: no war.
* Did the majority of people vote for Bush? No. Is he the president? Yes.
* I understand, but the point is: people will profit from rebuilding, right? Companies will be hired to do the job, and they'll get millions, if not billions, of dollars to do it. What if Canada destroyed america because they think GWB has gone tyranical, and to pay for its reconstruction, the canadians are hiring canadian, spanish and japanese companies to do it, and they'll be paying with america's natural resources.
* Well it happened, it has been done since the late 1800s, early 1900s - Brazil, Chile, 50s Iran, they tried to do it with Vietnan... Before that, Great Britain used to do that, fulling China with opium and all that stuff.
* Oh he sure regreats, but I still smell something kinda fishy going on there.
* Ok, has anyone gone to jail? BTW Parmalat has gone the same way, and nothing will happen either.
* Now, has Halliburton made any profit from the gulf war?
Peace can happen. It's hidden inside our children. We, our generation, is screwed now, we're doomned, our minds and souls are filled with violence and blood, but if we raised our children away from this nonsense, dont you think peace would finnaly be achieved? We fill their minds with TV, violence, the idea that killing and making wars are ok, we are filling them with hate, with a empty search for money and material things, if we invest all we have in our children... we would have a good world for them to live.
