Sunday nights game was SO hard to watch, it was like the WHOLE damn team was not even there, except Dez Bryant.

Sunday nights game was a nightmare . The whole damn  team seamed so defeated after Greenbay got their first points on the board . The team doesnt deserve to be payed for that performance on the field , it was a disgraceful performance coming from a professional football team. Jerry Jones should take the combined salary from the players and donate it to a childrens charity.

Sunday afternoon's Colts game was painful. The Eagles had the ball so long and so many Colts are injured that I literally forgot I was watching a Colts game at all. I'm not kidding.

I have to say the penalties for the hit on that wide receiver and one for hitting Manning's helmet were ridiculous.   Is the NFL going to become flag football?   What's really stupid is that they say that the reason the hit on the receiver was penalty was because it was an incomplete pass.   It was an incomplete pass because he got hit!  Also, it sure looked like a completed pass to me.  It looked like he had control of the ball,  he had both feet on the ground, and it looked like he made a football move, all before he got hit.   Are the defenders supposed to just stand and wait to see if he catches the ball???   I thought part of their job was to try to keep receivers from catching ball, and if they do catch it, tackle them or knock them to the ground and perhaps cause a fumble?   I thought football was supposed to be a tough sport?   Finally, why the hell should accidentally brushing the helmet of the quarter back be a penalty?  That was asinine.  The NFL needs to do something about this stuff.   This going to wind up effecting the quality of the game we love.   Its also wind up effecting the outcome of big games, playoff games.  Maybe even the Superbowl.

I agree about the pass being complete and him only dropping the ball because he passed out. As for the penalties, they seemed a bit overboard in that game. Really overboard. Collie getting hit was regrettable, but I don't understand how a defender is supposed to stop flying through the air to keep helmets from touching. There are some things that are perfectly legal to do that I don't understand, but a whole bunch more that is penalized. I think the players are just playing football and letting the penalties come. At least the Eagles were. They gave up over a football field that game.

I'm curious, to what things do you refer to?

Its more of the refs missing more obvious pass interferences and getting the really bizarre ones. I guess a lot of it could be my fuzziness with some of the rules, like you can hit the receiver without a certain number of yards of the line of scrimmage or something. That's probably most of it.

I've been struggling with the fact that I don't have a favorite team.  I love watching about any game that is on, but I think I'd like it more if I had one team I could follow fanatically.

cheer for the team that is closest to where you live.

Maybe I'll give New Orleans a spin.  I've always liked Brees.

But once I pick one, I'm not gonna change.  So even if they suck next year or this Sunday, they stay my team.

So why cheer for them?   Is it rings?   Is it star on the side of the helmet?  Both are dumb reasons to cheer for them.

Join me on the Colts side, Sluggo. They are a good team, and pretty fun to watch when half of the team isn't injured.

I'd try to seduce him to be an Eagles fan, but they've sold their soul to the devil.
