Just spotted this thread had been bumped so I thought I'd make a post. I've been giving recent thought to re-visiting my Evil Dead - The Treasures Collection DVD, but am taking it in a slightly different direction. Please see the following thread;

Obviously the picture quality of the Blu-ray movie will be far superior to the Laserdisc version, but that was never right at the top of my list, it was more about the overall presentation relating to aspects such as an open-matte transfer with absolute minimal side cropping, the colour timing and the various editing tweaks, things like that. I know the Blu-Ray has at least one editing tweak; the removal of Rob Tapert from the background where the car crosses the bridge, there may be others too?

I'd be interested to compare the Blu-Ray open matte version with the Laserdisc transfer though. I'll PM you.

I've just done a quick framing comparison with some Blu-ray open-matte screenshots I found, and they're virtually identical. The Laserdisc transfer has a few pixels more to the left & bottom sides, but looses a few pixels over the Blu-Ray on the top & right sides, the gain/loss is about the same over the two transfers, and the actual frame sizes are identical, just one is panned diagonally left & down on the image a fraction.

I'm glad your continuing the Treasures collection. Incidently, the Blu-Ray release has a tweak made by Raimi; as the gang crosses the bridge, the goof featuring Rob Tapert has been removed. The only Full Screen version that has no tweaks is the one found on the R1 Ultimate Edition.

Would U plz pls pls pls upload it as a torrent, i badly need this DVD.

since i saw it on your forum, Im carzy about this. pls kindly help me to get this dvd. unfortunetaly I'm ONLY able to download it from a torrent, bcoz i don't have any newsgroup or other option which u mention in this forum.

Sir, I'v already tried those all options that u mentioned within forum, but doesn't work for me, myspleen.cc requires username and password, and there isn't any option for registraion so it seems like they have disable the new registrations.

the only possible method for me is to download from a public torrent site like thepiratebay.org, if anyone of u guys pls upload it by torrent, I will be thankfull to u for the rest of my life..

Fortunetely I was able to download but there is only DVD video folder and screenshots folder, I mean other DVD ROM folder is missing which includes:

Misc Files & Downloads
Offline Sites & Forums
Photos, Pictures & Artwork
Rare Magazine PDFs
Text Files
Video & Fan Films
Within The Woods Material

So pls if someone upload/torrent only that folder, It would be nice.

It took me the better part of a week to download the 3 discs from rapidshare due to the 57 minute wait between files (why not make it a whole hour? geez...) but at least I got it :)

I think that I will upload it to multiupload and exclude rapidshare as a destination so it would be at multiupload itself, megaupload, zshare and hotfile.

So where can I post the links?

I'm not sure if fanedit/preserve will create a listing for it if it had not already.

I own the Ultimate Edition 3-Disc DVD and the Anchor Bay Blu-ray (is in the mail but not received it yet) of THE EVIL DEAD. (Going to look for the Elite Entertainment DVD and will buy the UK Blu-ray.) THX DVD of EVIL DEAD II: Dead by Dawn and MGM Region 3 NTSC DVD 96m from film elements master for Army of Darkness.

No idea which Blu-ray release, Region A or A/B or A/B/C aka Free, is best for EVIL DEAD II or Army of Darkness.

You bet I'd love to download this via torrents hopefully.

I'd rather the dog slow rapidshare over torrent when it's not a new release.

Torrents don't age well. Plus, I would have to seed donkey's years and it would take donkey's years for people to download it.

Obviously, dog slow is better than donkey's years ;)

I looked at Sharebee  but it's just a bad version of multiupload.

But what I was asking was where can I post the multiupload links when it's all uploaded.

The size of the discs that I downloaded are:

EDI TC = 7.57 gb (includes EDI_COVER.rar)

EDII TC Disc I = 4.22 gb

EDII TC Disc II = 4.10 gb

I added EDII_COVER.rar as well for a total of 15.89 gb.

Hello; sorry for bumping such an old thread, but I'm a big ED fan and was wondering if anyone could re-upload the first disc of the ED II Companion set (with the workprint and Hyde camcorder footage). It's no longer available from Rapidshare :-( Any help would be much appreciated!

I uploaded ALL of these DVD sets to myspleen a long time ago, when they first came out, that is how everyone has them now, so if that is what you want to do, all you have to do is a reseed, but I have them all there already.

Oh a myspleen upload would be absolutely wonderful, msycamore! I've seen the workprint on Google Video but would love to see the camcorder footage and the abridged workprint on a DVD.

Actually, it's surprising that this is down from Rapid-Share since the Evil Dead Treasures Collection and the ED II Companion Disc 2 are still up...

EDIT: Oh just saw your post Dark Jedi and now I found the torrent. I'm currently leeching but no data's coming through as of yet. Msycamore or anyone else, would you mind seeding, please?

Thanks for seeding Moth3r, but I'm not currently receiving any data and BitTorrent says there are 0 seeds for the Evil Dead 2 Treasures Disc 1 torrent. I'm attempting to leech. Does your torrent software see me as a leecher?

EDIT: Curious: MySpleen lists 3 seeders and no leechers but my program says otherwise.
