As far as I've heard:
- the constrast is more "booklike" which is "easier on the eyes",
- the battery lasts longer than other mobile electronics
- it's lighter than a laptop
- Smaller/no keyboard
- The fact that it doesn't do more than books is considered a plus to some people.
If I put my laptop in low brightness mode, it makes the contrast go to poop and it is pretty easy on my eyes- in the sense that it isn't blowing them out the back of my head and blinding me (with science).
I don't know of any laptops for $139, but you can get a lot of netbooks for about $199. Sure, it's $60 more, but can you post on OT.com from your kindle?
