I found my last attempt of the ROTJ collection on my backup drive.  These are NOT raw, and were run through "Extra Precision" on DePopper.  Some of the levels are likely too high.

PM for info.

I'm not quite an audio expert but I would be willing to give it a listen, but not at 600MB. It would be helpful to just post a small clip, you only need 5 or 10 minutes to get a sense of the quality control issues.

I wanted to make the whole thing available because different things were done to the different records in the collection.  But, I will make a smaller sample file....

Good grief.  Anyone have something worthwhile to say?

I'd love to listen to the clips, but I'm on a dial-up connection at the moment, so you can imagine......:-P

Understood.  If you want me to hook you up with a small file, let me know.

So, that's the classic argument through the ages in this department.  Belt drive vs. direct drive.  Personally, I am going with a direct drive next time, to ensure more accurate pitch.

Here's some things brought up earlier in the thread that seem to have been buried:

I don't really care about it and I wasn't planning on adding it to the project, but would anyone be interested in a vinyl recording of the TPM soundtrack?  It was the last Star Wars recording to get the vinyl treatment and I have it in my collection, so I thought I'd ask.
I finally received my factory sealed Star Wars LP the other day, but I'm curious about a sticker on the shrinkwrap in the top left corner.  It reads 8666 H NDC.
Web searches have been fruitless.  Any ideas?  Maybe Hastings Records used it?

Well, I'm guessing that there is no longer any interest here.  Which is fine, since I cancelled my first run.  I'll go ahead and close up shop here, but I'll keep the files at MegaUpload just in case anyone wants them.  Next time, I think I will complete the project before telling anyone about it.  Thanks to those that replied and offered input.
