I think my grandpa only has a few weeks left.
sorry to hear that, Sluggo. I know how that is. I lost mine in July of 2009. I'll say a prayer.

Thanks, Warb. I appreciate that.
Both my grandmothers are in their 80's and doing pretty well. But I lost one grandfather to a heart attack back in 1993 and the other to Alzheimer's about five years later.
Best wishes, Sluggo.

That's sad, Sluggo. It's bad enough when one knows a loved one is going to pass away soon, let alone knowing how soon. It's a stress on the family...
Take care Sluggo.
Thanks, guys. He has had a full life and we are looking forward to him not being frustrated anymore by pain and lack of mobility; but we are still gonna miss him.
Grandpa passed away last night.
My sympathies, Sluggo.
You and your family have my sympathies and prayers, Sluggo.
Thanks guys. It helps.
I'm sure you have lots of happy memories Sluggo.
The only and best consolation you can have.
I'm very sorry, Sluggo. Mine died about four years ago, and while it was good because he had been deteriorating terribly for years, it didn't stop it from being extremely painful. So you have my empathy.

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.
My sympathies, Sluggo. At least you can say you knew him, right? I was 7 when my oldest grampa (he would've been 98 this year) passed away and I don't remember him at all. Only a passing memory of sitting on his knees. I have a lot of stuff he has written over the years, though, mostly poetry.
My other grampa was a man of few words, quiet. He lived to be 90, and always left me wondering, things like: "Who knows how many people he's seen in his life!..." He did share a few stories about the war with us, though.
Oh, wow, Leo. My grandpa would have been 97 this year, and his wife (my grandmother, obviously) would be 98 if she were alive.

My condolences and prayers on your loss, Sluggo. These are the moments on our journey where we can refocus on what's truly important in the world.

I know how that is, my oldest grandfather passed when I was 4. All I have is pictures of him holding me and stories from my father and grandmother. My other grandfather, died in July of '09. Like Leonardo's, you could say he was a man of few words. My Grandmother on my mother's side passed in Oct 2000. My Grandmother on my father's side passed away in Feb 2001, exactly on her birthday.
Sorry to post the comparatively trivial but I am mightily miffed that Caprica has been canceled.
True I can't see the last half until next year anyway but I was really getting into the show and then it disappeared for an age an now it's gone because of the stupid outmoded way American television networks calculate profit potential.
The other prequel show doesn't appeal to me in the same way and I don't won't to get burned by yet another aborted arc based television drama so sorry America but your present and future television is now official banished from Chateau Bingowings.
Never again.
Never.
Im sorry to hear about your loss Sluggo, be strong for your family now.
I am still pissed off as hell that Firefly was cancelled.
If all the resources spent on prematurely aborted shows were spent on one complete series it would be one amazing masterpiece.
dangnabit. I was just reaching some kind of mental resolution on Firefly...

Hey my first double post!
I'm pissed off because I make $11/hour and will not be able to move out of my parents house until I'm 30. All the good apartments are too expensive and the cheap ones are in states I would never want to live in.

Which states? Why wouldn't you want to live there?
I used to swear I would never ever live in Texas for any amount of money. Then my future wife took a job in Corpus Christi and I had no choice. Turned out not nearly as awful as I thought (though the weather did suck).
I'm unemployed, live with my parents, and the film & music industries both suck incredible ass. >:-(
But I thought an incredible ass is a good thing?
