AND HERE ARE SOME POSSIBLE ALTERNATE WAYS TO INSERT THE ‘SPALKO WALKING PAST MURDERED LOCAL NATIVES’ SCENE INTO MY NEW ENDING, WHICH HELPS TO SHOW ‘EXACTLY WHY’ THE ALIEN WANTED TO KILL HER -
(I need to TEST EDIT these alternatives too, to see how well they flow visually and musically together, as I’m not sure which version I prefer yet!)
NOTE - DEPENDING ON WHICH VERSION I PREFER, THE WAY IT FITS INTO SCENES BEFORE AND AFTER WILL DIFFER, SO DON’T KNOW MY FINAL, COMPLETE ENDING SEQUENCES YET (THE ‘GIANT GEARS’ SHOT MIGHT EVEN BE PLACED ELSEWHERE, OR EVEN DISCARDED FOR ALL I KNOW AT THIS POINT)
OPTION 2 -
We see the END-PORTION of the fully-formed alien shot, as it looks down disapprovingly -
…then CUT to the shot of ‘Spalko walking past murdered natives to pick up a tracking device’ (giving the impression that the alien ‘KNOWS’ what she did to the natives) -
…then CUT to the alien leaning towards Spalko as she yells “ENOUGH!..ENOUGH!”
…and continue on as normal, as the annoyed alien frowns in close-up, and Spalko screams as her eyes burn up and she disintegrates upwards -
…and we continue on as normal, as Indy & co. enter a watery area with giant gears -
OPTION 3 -

…and we continue on as normal, as Indy & co. enter a watery area with giant gears -
OPTION 5 -
We see the spinning crystal skeletons merging into a fully-formed alien, as Spalko says “NO MORE!” -
NOTE - AT THIS POINT THE CLOSE-UP OF SPALKO SAYING “COVER IT…COVER IT!” WOULD THEN NORMALLY APPEAR, BUT IT’S A SHOT I’M DISCARDING NO MATTER WHAT…AND THEN THE FULLY-FORMED ‘FROWNING ALIEN’ SHOT WOULD NORMALLY FOLLOW AFTERWARDS…AND THEN THE SHOT OF 'MAC LOSING GRIP OF INDY’S WHIP AS HE GETS SUCKED AWAY AND INDY & CO. RUN UP THE STEPS AS HE SHOUTS “GO!” WOULD NORMALLY FOLLOW AFTERWARDS…AND THEN THAT WOULD NORMALLY BE FOLLOWED BY THE ‘ALIEN LEANING IN TOWARDS SPALKO’ SHOT AS SHE SAYS “ENOUGH…ENOUGH!”, AS THE FROWNING ALIEN BURNS HER EYES AND DISINGTEGRATES HER UPWARDS.
