Not sure what to do about it..... Don't know what to do, but something needs to be done about our lack of hitting.   There is no reason we should have lost this series with the kind of starting pitching we had.

Man, the Phillies made it to three LCS in a row & two WS.  At that level, there isn't always a tweak that can be made to guarantee or improve.

all I know is that we aren't hitting as well we used to.   Something has to be done.   It wasn't just this series, it was well over half the season.

Sometimes teams are evenly matched and one of them has to lose.

it didn't look like an even match-up to me.    The Giants played hungry and we didn't.    They seemed to be one step ahead of us.  Even their pitching seemed to be better.    The Phillies did not seem prepared for the war the Giant gave us.     I think they played overconfident.   They made way too many errors.   Manuel made a dumb decision by not starting Halladay in game 4, and of course the bats were ridiculously flat.  They left way too many base runners stranded.   I know I should be happy about what the Phillies  accomplished these last 3 seasons.   They got to the playoffs 4 years in a row,  won the divisional round 3 years in a row, won the NLCS 2 years in a row, and won the World Series in '08.    I know that.  But I can't help but think, if we had played as well as we could have(both last year and this year),  we could have 3-peat.     I know it shouldn't, but it leaves me angry and frustrated.     I want go and scream at the players, that they need to get their heads out of their asses and wake up and to start playing hungry again.

I think that's what we saw in both leagues this year.  It made for some edge of your seat baseball.  Personally, I don't care for blowout ball - games or series.  Fans aren't into it, teams aren't into it, and it makes for a boring game.

I and  I think most other fans, wouldn't mind blowout ball at all, as long as it is our team doing the blowing out.
