Um... no. I just meant that George Lucas went back and altered the sky over the drive-in in the opening shot with a digital sunset.
Anyway, last movie I've seen:
Superman.
Oh, yeah I know the one you’re ranting about. I have the DVD first edition is it the same as what was on Sky? There have been versions on TV many, many years back and those where panned and scanned with the opening in scope and end credits.
Also there’s THX laserdisc version which I think is the same as the DVD extras part of the Universal Signature Collection.
Was the caped wonder good for you as it was for me, back in 1978? I like vintage films it helps lets us escape in its word for a few hours what marvellous invention film is.
I can’t really comment on what film I saw last because I’ve been doing a few sound alignment tests in the past few days. Okay last one I viewed was Earthquake (1974) it may not be close to the original (((Sensurround))) experience of early 1975, which I saw three times!
It still rumbles with soap and characters you ether love or hate. Jody is wacko in Earthquake LOL. Charlton Heston I can’t help taking my eyes off such one of many iconic actors of the 20th century. The lows on the LFE.1 when the added extension of rumble comes in on the big one chapter 8, lasts for 8 minutes, and if you could bare to stand the theatrical level of near 120dbc, it was LOUD!!!!!
In the home I play it laser level 105dbc max would be just about tolerable for 8 minutes.
The lows sound more like random pink noise that is generated on the original release by a sound generator, the film had an encoding that triggered the sound generator to produce lows that extended down to around an 18Hz. The DVD seems filtered to around 30Hz on the LFE.1 no big deal its still rumbles loud enough and how many hear tones that is down at 30Hz each day!
