Thanks guys. Can you imagine how cool it would be to get a copy of this in Mark's household too. Nathan seems like a good guy and totally into the trilogy. How could he not be!

It would be cool to see what Nathan Hamill thinks of the prequels, versus the real trilogy his dad starred in that Lucas has since twice, desecrated, with a third desecration to come in 3-D.

Hi all, Spent a couple of hours on the project yesterday. I am definitely coming towards the end.  I reckon this could be finished in a matter of 8-10 weeks. I should have some more time in december to finish it off.  There are still a couple of gaps that I am not too happy with but I am sure I can sort it.

The menu should take an hour or so to make.

It's the rendering and transcoding that always seems to be the problem!

Good to hear that you're in the homestretch. I'm sure you'll be happy to have it done, as will we. ;)

P.S. Were you looking to add vintage ads and such, maybe to a DVD-ROM folder? I have some old comic book ads from the time and some old sci-fi books. Lots of obvious rip-off items (large R2 robots, for instance) and other fun stuff like Super 8 ads, all from the peak of the Star Wars craze.

Can't wait to see this! I think my Returning to Jedi has rotted away, but Building Empire is still around. I greatly enjoyed both projects and I can't wait for this one!

Thanks guys. You make it easier for people like me with comments like that.

I am still looking for some more 'clean' (no music) interviews with Gary Kurtz if anyone can help.

Thanks

If you want anyone to preview a 'work-print', I'd be happy to lend a hand for ideas.  The mind of Sluggo is always open.

Hi Maclanachu.  Funnily enough I got that book through yesterday and it's wonderful. I've had a quick visual feast of the photos and last night I started to read it.  Great stuff.

Thanks to Helleman I was reminded of 'Star Wars, Feel The Force' the 'fluffy' TV documentary from 2005. I did have it on DVD at one time but have unfortunately lost it. Are any of you wonderful chaps able to send a copy over please?

Thanks

Was that on a DVD by itself or as part of a compilation? It's possible I have it on a disc with other things and can't remember.

During yesterday's math tests I put on the board what I described as an unfair trivia question: give the name of the film and the context where one character says "That was just Wormie on another rampage".

Went home, pulled out MoveAlong's "The Lost Scenes", and found that the line's not there! It's in the script, and the comic adaptation and the novelization, but it can't be heard. When they head outside, though, Camie's statement is clear:

"I think Wormie's caught too much sun".

All of which turns into a comment on this thread because I'm *excited* to see your project, Jambe. And a question because rewatching "The Lost Scenes" reminded me of a comment from LONG ago. Do I remember rightly that you're working from repaired versions of the missing material?

“Before the Dark Times. Before the Prequels.”

MattMahdi, There were some plans to have repaired versions but its such a laborious process and from what I remember (it was a long time ago!) Movealong understandably gave up.

Ripplin, Feel the Force was broadcast by Sky One in the UK. I got a friend to burn me a copy some time ago but it has since gone to the DVD graveyard. Your help would be much appreciated. Looking at the low red youtube version I have spotted a couple of short behind the scenes shots that aren't anywhere else.

Thanks, JD

By the way, I am still wondering if this project needs a new name.

It's a shame that the great bits are mixed in with the sugar-rushed shallowness of the rest of that program (3PO and R2 weren't good in the first Making of Star Wars, no need to try that again). I wonder how easily Lucasfilm gives up that old behind the scenes footage, and under what conditions. Often you only see snippets; as if the people putting together the programs have no idea what they have in their hands.

As for names, I've only got this, and it doesn't necessarily fit with the other names:

A Long Time Ago
S T A R   W A R S

I think I will stick with Star Wars Begins. Just won't ever be sure of it that's all.

So, I really need 'Feel the Force' on DVD please. Can anyone help?

And, if anyone is able, a lovely DVD cover using McQuarries artwork to mimic my two favourite covers from BE and RTJ would be great.

Your help would be very much appreciated.

what is the deadline for the cover. I will make one for sure, based on MacQuarrie Art like the others documentaries you made but I don't know if I will have the time.

Can you send me the Star wars begins logo in Hidef ?

Here's what I came up with, I didn't find the other covers so I don't know what's in the back or how's the spine. This also has the spine area so the text doesn't look like centered. LMK what you think if I should continue.
