2)Well personally I don't think Obi-wan fighting dooku was all that nessesary, I would rather have Obi-wan vs Jango intercut with Anakin fighting Dooku alone. That would of been a much better climax IMHO

1. Obi-Wan lucked out mostly with Maul. If anything Darth Maul should have killed Obi-Wan and changed the saga practically, but it was not meant to be. Is Jango more powerful then Maul? Maybe, with his flying around with his jetpack and stuff, it would be a hard fight for most Jedi.
2. I thought Obi-Wan fighting Dooku was very needed. It shows so many things better. We figure out obviously that Dooku is a Sith. We find out that Sidious is not the only one with force lightening. Also and most important of all. Showing how Anakin throws himself to save Obi-Wan. If he had not, Dooku would have made tuna fish out of Obi-Wan. And on a tanget, I also think Yoda and Dooku/Tyranus fighting is important in that is shows how powerful Yoda truly is. I mean come on, with Yoda going to be in 5 out of 6 of the Star Wars movies and as head of the Jedi Council, you never wanted to know if he was all he was cracked up to be? I would also say the same of Mace, I don't want his only fight onscreen to be his death scene.
