This week's episode of The Office had Andy starring in a small theatrical production of Sweeney Todd. Andy's officemates came to the play and two or three songs from the show were faithfully represented. So... did the producers of the show have to license the music, etc. from Stephen Sondheim & Co.? Did Sondheim sponsor this week's episode?
Or did the writers get to do something fun, and did Sondheim get some free advertising, so they called it a wash?
Which way did the money go?
