This forum is already a great place for meeting between serious preservationists. And the pm box is enough for private discussions. I don't see the use of personal meeting, and all the help I could get here by pm is something I wouldn't have never found on a "StarTour" or so.

... And don't forget: even serious preservationists do HAVE humour and like joking around sometimes, mostly in such a great topic as yours! You'd better accept it.

Otherwise...

The forum is a great place for finding and communicating with serious preservationists, perhaps, but it's physically impossible to meet them here.  I'm old-fashioned, I like speaking verbally in person.  I do have humor, that's why I suggested the meeting at Star Tours, but everyone missed that because they seem to have imagined me trying to discuss technical details of film preservation while actually on the Star Tours attraction or "next to the teacups" as someone else said.  There's a time for joking and a time for seriousness.  My window for meeting people in that location was only two days, I didn't have time to wade through silliness for days before meeting anyone.

Just saw Megadeth again.  They've still got it after all these years.
