Actually, the rebuttal is mostly true. This is what I said about the CNN article missing the point. When ineffective arguments are made supporting our side, it ends up being more fodder for GL and others to make us look bad.

We have to be very careful exactly what we say and how we say it.

Agreed. Both articles are extreme examples of the two sides of this argument. What we need is someone who can articulate our side without resorting to name calling and extreme analogies.

doubleofive makes a good point about re-releasing the movies unchanged at the cinema. If Back to the Future can make £462,000 at the UK box office without new visual effects or a 3-D conversion, why can't Star Wars?
