Out of ten replies there was, what, one serious one?

With all due respect, you have yet to provide a single reason why we should be rushing to meet you.

With all due respect, I wasn't aware that I had to provide credentials.  I thought that a desire to preserve the OUT would be enough.  Actually, Puggo, you're one person I would like to talk to in particular.  It's late right now and I need sleep but I'll talk to you soon.

Sorry if I haven't been posting here continuously for the past few years but I haven't had the time to spend on this website in a long time and didn't have any opportunities to do any preservation work until now anyway.  It would be nice if people didn't receive my friendly invitation for a chat about a topic of mutual interest with such suspicion, derision and sarcasm.  If you feel you need some compelling reason from me before you can meet me as Puggo inferred then, fine don't meet, but there's really no call for turning my thread into a three-ring circus.  Why does everyone feel such an irresistible urge to make clever comments on the internet about something that doesn't involve them?  And if you don't want to accept my invitation then it doesn't concern you.  Let's be civil here.

And no, Frink, I'm not a cop.  Are you?  I don't work for Lucas.  And I wasn't asking for it.  I simply posted a brief message with an offer to like-minded individuals.  I'm sorry that I didn't word it in a way that made you more comfortable but I didn't have all day to make it sound snappy.  And why is it creepy to invite people to discuss a topic of mutual interest face-to-face?  Are you that alienated behind your keyboard that an offer of actual human interaction strikes you as "creepy?"  Are book clubs and non-profit groups also creepy to you?  Maybe you need to get out more.  I'm not trying to stir anything up, but really, people used to talk about important things in person before the internet existed. There's nothing strange about it.

I suggested Star Tours because I've never been there and it seemed appropriate since we are talking about STAR WARS.  But I guess that's a tenuous link at best and only exists in my crazy mind.  Sorry about that.

Moderators: I think the thread can be closed, it's a moot point now anyway.  But for the future I would hope people have more manners.  If someone offers something to me which I don't want, whether it be a meeting, ice cream, marijuana or whatever the case may be, I politely decline it, I don't ridicule them.
