"Yeah, well, George says a lot of things..." a young 1997 xhonzi on RASSM
"They're my movies." -George Lucas. 19 people won oscars for their work on Star Wars (1977) and George Lucas wasn't one of them.

Greatest Muppet Movie Ever?????? Sorry I have difficulty believing that a new Muppet movie will be that. The first one was the best, and always will be.
It's the working title, Warb.

I held this belief for a very long time. I saw it in the theaters as a kid and I still enjoy it. However, my wife recently turned me on to Caper. I had only seen it once and didn't really think much of it, but my daughter loves the music for that one more than the first one. And now having watched it again several times recently, I find it to be as good as the first.
All of my nostalgia is for The Muppets Take Manhattan. Of course, it helps that I've been watching it since I was a teeny tiny tot, it launched Muppet Babies... and that I've never seen any of the other movies.
GO TO MY THREAD!!!
Huh? What was that? Did you hear something?

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

I just need some money to pay off some stuff.
Muppet Movies by my love for them:
1. Muppet Movie (a classic by any definition)
2. Muppet Treasure Island (freaking Tim Curry)
3. Great Muppet Caper (its just alright, really)
4. Muppets Take Manhattan ("It's Time for Saying Goodbye" is too depressing)
5. Muppet Christmas Carol (That love song in the middle with Young Scrooge is the first thing I ever wanted to fan edit out of a movie)
6. Muppets from Space (It's not terrible, it just wasn't worth a theatrical release)
Oh, and I've never seen a Muppet movie in theaters.

I think I saw one of them in a theater, but not sure which. May have been the first one.

3. Muppets from Space (The talking sandwich bit should have anyone in stitches)
4. Muppets Take Manhattan (Took itself too seriously, but it still features Jim Hensen, so it is awesome.)
5. Muppet Treasure Island (freaking Tim Curry)

You've never seen a Muppet movie in theaters?! *facepalm*
I fixed you list for you. You can thank me later.
I'm not saying any of the movies are bad, I was just pointing out why they're in that order. It's like ANH/ESB, they're all number 1 in my heart.Sluggo said:

I used to love seeing all the Star Wars clips and homages on Muppet Babies, especially as I wasn't VCR-enabled at the time and only caught the movies when they were on TV once in a blue moon.
Indeed. I knew about Star Wars for years before I actually saw it (or at least had some vague understanding of it) just from watching Muppet Babies every Saturday morning for the first formative years of my life!

I had one episode of Muppet Babies taped off of TV: "Gonzo's Video Show". It's the episode where they spend the last half directly remaking ANH. Animal Vader, Princess Piggy, Chewtaco the Bookie, Gonzolo, Luke Skyhopper, the Death Tomato... All so good. Sadly, that tape was stolen and lost forever.
Until one Christmas a couple of years ago, my mom gives me a present of a huge Baby Gonzo doll. My wife and I were weirded out until I saw what the doll came packaged with: "Gonzo's Video Show" on DVD. I actually started crying. My childhood, restored.
