It's a telling thing when scholastic books (Jedi Apprentice) can be more interesting than newer EU books. You have to know an insane amount of background info to even have the slightest idea of what is going on. I can go up until midway through the Bantam tenure before I start to get really tired. There are a few books after that that are worthwhile, but those are a very few.

xhonzi-Try reading any of the original Rob MacGregor books and see if you like them.They can be found used for pretty cheap.

There's a new book to tie in with Indy IV called Army of the Dead but it wasn't very good.
