I saw DarkSiders (360) at Sam's Club for 12.99.  Is no one going to belive me that this game rocks?

I'd love to try it out, but I've only got it on PC and it just came out fairly recently for PC (it's $40 on Steam still).

By the way, C3PX, I took your advice and started playing Half-Life again. Damn, I forgot how good this game was! I'm going to finish it this time!

By the way, have you seen any of the GMod Idiot Box videos? I think you might get a kick out of those:

C'mon 005, you've been around long enough to recognize that quote.
Forgive, I thought it sounded off, couldn't really place it.

My point is

HOW CAN YOU BE DEAF WITH EARS LIKE THAT?!

Sorry, my "forgive" line reminded me of Search for Spock.

I forgive and present a Star Trek game:

This led to the DOS version I had, EGA Trek:

I believe I still have it on 3.5" floppy somewhere.  Don't know if it still works, but looks like you can also find it for download pretty easily.

I've still got the floppy disks for the Jurassic Park DOS game. That game was awesome:

The inconvenient with all the arcade emulators now is how it makes hard to find real Acade captures. They were so much more beautiful with the real scanlines and light blur. I used to collect all arcade screenshots in a book a long time ago.

Are screenshots on Google Image Search typically from emulators?  I guess that would make sense.  I don't have the eye for that kind of thing so I never noticed before (and still wouldn't).  But look at it this way - if not for emulators, would we be able to post the pictures, or play the games?

You're 100% right on all points. Indeed, no one see the interest of a real Arcade screenshot due to the availability through emulators.

You had better finish it this time! And the expansions too.

Yeah, there were a lot of really cool things done with Gmod. My all time favorite being Civil Protection.

That one brings me to tears every time I watch it. Not even sure why, but it always has me rolling on the floor at the end.

This one is really great too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1ey8EnVSiA

Yay!  I foundy my CDs (and Keys) for Blue Shift and Half Life 1 and they both work and unlocked the mega-pak.  I played Half Life 1, Opposing Force, and Blue Shift (to completion(the original twice!)- and no cheating!) way back when but I've never touched the other ones.  Ricochet?  Day of Defeat?  Are these any good?

Thanks, DarkGryphon, for the heads up!

I guess since Day of Defeat, Counter-Strike and Team Fortress Classic were all just mods for Half-Life originally, they felt like they shouldn't charge people who bought the game in the days when those were free. If that's the reason, then that's awesome!

I always liked Day of Defeat.

Wait, is that the same as "You should definitely play it now."?

Yep, that's Dead Rising 2 alright.  I guess you haven't been keeping tabs on this game, Frink?  Or are you just surprised he didn't duct tape chainsaws to the front of his trike?

I made an English account for my PS3 so I could download the Castlevania Demo.  It clocked in at about 1.5 GB and took me about 12 or 15 minutes to beat... so I'm not sure why it was so short...

I liked what I played, but these kind of games tend to not demo very well, in my opinion.  I'm hoping to like the full game- when I get around to playing it in 6 to 8 months.  ;)

EDIT: Bah!  Now the Castlevania demo is on 360 for everybody...  so much for being sneaky.

Xbox: Spend 2400 pts on Xbox Live in the month of October, get 800 back.  http://www.xbox.com/en-US/press/2010/0930-thankyougift.htm

So, I'd been seeing this advertised, but I assumed it was only for certain XBLA titles like they've done in the past.  But it's actually for anything...  So it's like get 2400 pts worth of stuff for 1600, I guess.

I'll probably get (since I was going to get them anyways, sooner or later):

Minerva Den for BioShock 2 - 800
Lara Croft and the G o' L - 1200
Monkey Island 2            - 800
Some Rock Band tracks - 400 or 500

Any better ideas?
