Did they ever go off track, it was a little over 24 hours. Most projects go weeks without updates.
I disagree with leveling each track individually. It doesn't make sense to have the love theme at air plane level decibels just so someone doesn't need to adjust the volume when transitioning from the Imperial March. The recording industry has done just this to everything of late, i would guess to suit the earphone generation who buys singles. But this was not the goal of this original recording, it was meant to be played in a 'semi' quiet theater as an overall piece of music.
Yes, things were a bit off track as of last night due to medical stuff which I thought was going to take longer, hence the speedy update.
Let me rephrase about the audio levels. What I really meant to say was that if the track has very loud peaks that aren't the same as the tracks that precede it, it will be adjusted down. For example, "Into The Trap" has fantastic peaks that are generally the same as "Main Title" so they are left alone. Then, "Luke and Leia" is very quiet for most of the piece, but I do NOT adjust it UP. The ONLY adjusting that occurs is DOWN if a brass flourish or something suddenly goes off the chart.
That is what I meant. Sorry for the confusion. Believe me, I don't like the dynamics being screwed with like what is done for CD's these days, either.
