Help: looking for... "King Kong" and "Son of Kong" - in Color

With the mention of kinds of movies in this forum now I figured this was the right place for this.

King Kong has been one of my favorite movies since I was a little kid, but the only copies I have are taped off TV. I am well aware that both KK and SoK were originally made in B&W, but I grew up watching them in color, and really couldn’t watch them any other way. Since neither have yet come out on DVD, and even when they do I doubt it will include the colorized versions, I wondered if anyone around here could help me out. Does anyone have/know of any way to aquire these things? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if you ever found what you were looking for, Commander Courage, but there's a colorized Laserdisc version of King Kong on ebay right now. It's not cheap though!

Where were you in '77?

No, I'm still in-the-want. Thanks for the head's up, but I dont even have a LD player. This does give me hope though, as where there's a LD there's most likely a DVD transfer out there somewhere...
