I don't think anyone said that. If you are going to split hairs like I said, you could say that no DVD release is exactly the same as the cinema version because the ratio is differet, or the picture quality is different when it is on film etc. etc. Like I said, if you are talking about minor changes like removing a reflection, I can't imagine anyone is going to mind. It would be a bit silly to release two DVD's, one called "Original version" and aone called "Version with glass reflection removed in one scene" wouldn't it? Comparing that with the changes in Star Wars is like comparing chalk and cheese.
