Bingo Good idea for Sidious. It almost inverts the original structure. Plus it saves him for later so we just see Maul at first....as it should be.
Mrbenja But how do we get the Jedi onto the ship? I'm not being critical, I really want to know. Heck if we can figure out a way, I may take a stab.
As bingo said, the senate votes to investigate things further, also making the senate not look so stoooooopid, the jedi go and they fly in their big red ship, then BOOM!
You cut from the ship blowing up, to the door with all the fumes recoloured to look like smoke from the ship and the jedi fly out of there with their sabers flying.
In other words:
Gunray: It's the jedi! they're on landing on the ship my lord!
Sidious: Kill them immediately
The ships lands, the turret swings, fires, the ship blows up.
Gunray gloats. Put a stationary Maul standing in the background.
The droids march up to the conference room door, now the hangar door. The door opens with the smoke billowing out.
The jedi come flying out.
