The problem is Lucas and company are acting like nothing has been changed, hence "The Director's Cut" blue smoke and mirrors act. He restored his cut right after Star Wars gave him the clout to do so.

The company that actually did the new shots has that info buried pretty deep on their website too. They are uncredited in the DC.

It's dishonest and a bit insulting to pretend those shots were done in 1970 as the documentary implies.

And was this scene on the Blu Ray really necessary?
