Can someone backup or falsify my assumption that digital films are projected from uncopressed sources? I'm just guessing here based on what makes sense. It says in the article above:

The source of their signal is an array of 20 prerecorded 18-gigabyte hard drives.

That is 360GB, and that was in 1999, today there's no problem getting a 360GB HDD and it's cost would in all probability be a lot lower than producing a 35mm print. And 360GB corresponds to an uncompressed HD movie.
