Brett played pretty well for a 40 year old who missed training camp and is missing his best receiver. I am surprised it was as close at it was, I thought the Vikings would be blown out.
I love the Colts, but you've got to give Houston credit for creating a great running game over the summer. I've been thinking the Colts should try something like that; having a two-pronged attack like that would be fantastic.

there's a good chance the Eagles are going to start the dog murderer next week. Kolb didn't look good, but its hard to tell. Reid kept switching between Kolb and the dog murderer so Kolb couldn't get into a rhythm. Also the offensive line was . . . offensive. There were also a lot penalties. So, imho, Kolb is still an unknown. He has to get alot more playing time before a real decision can be made about his abilities.

If he doesn't commit the penalty, what are the odds that Tony Romo is a permanent part of the turf instead of on the plane home?
Not defending the penalty necessarily (he stunk all game and was the most penalized lineman the last two years on the Rams) but there are worse things than losing Game 1.
If he hadn't held the guy, who knows if he would have been able to keep him from sacking Romo?

OH, LET'S NOT FORGET THE 2000 SEASON WHEN THE COWBOYS STARTED OUT 0-2 LEADING TO A 5-11 SEASON. WITH THAT BEING SAID THEY HAVE A 50-50 CHANCE AT A WINNING SEASON.
IF THE COWBOYS DON'T GO TO THE SUPER BOWL NOT ONLY IS OWNER JERRY JONES GOING TO FIRE PRETTY MUCH ALL OF THE COWBOYS STAFF ALONG WITH A LOT OF PLAYERS, BUT CITY OFFICIALS AND RETAILERS ARE GOING TO FORM A LYNCH MOB TO HUNT DOWN JONES AND COMPANY.
